Work hard. Play hard. Compete. Have fun!
The Waunakee Youth Girls Basketball program is the community's premier opportunity for players to learn new skills; develop a deeper knowledge of basketball; and have fun with teammates and coaches through regular practices and scheduled gameplay. The program strives to achieve the following goals:
1) Providing a positive player experience;
2) Teaching participants basketball skills, rules, and strategy;
3) Promoting sportsmanship and healthy physical activity; and
4) Building character and self-confidence by offering a team experience stressing a positive attitude regardless of winning or losing.
Girls in grades 3 through 8 who attend school within the Waunakee Area School District are welcome to participate. Players participate on league teams from mid-November through early February.
The goal is to facilitate an appropriate level of competition for all players at each grade level for league play.
